Anadolu Ajansı (Agency) was founded on April 6, 1920, upon the suggestion of Halide Edip Adıvar and Yunus Nadi, and at the instruction of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. From its very inception, it helped broadcast the Turkish people’s struggle for independence to the world.
Today, Anadolu Ajansı maintains its deep-rooted tradition as a trusted news source on both national and international stages. Guided by the principle of delivering accurate, impartial, and timely news, it publishes content in 13 languages from across the globe, helping to shape the global agenda while resolutely maintaining its mission to stay attuned to the world’s shifting dynamics.
Prepared in line with this mission, Almanac 2024 brings together a wealth of content—from headline reports to in-depth analyses, award-winning photojournalism to richly detailed infographics. This compilation serves as an important chronicle, carrying the previous year into the future.
With its motto “The news agency of a changing world,” Anadolu Ajansı aims to improve public access to reliable information through our forward-thinking editorial approach. While continuing its mission as the living memory of journalism, the almanac also embraces the digital age by integrating QR codes in line with the demands of the time—offering readers faster, richer access to its content.
